Find the right request route

Bought it on Costco.com? Use the request form linked from Costco’s price adjustment policy. For a warehouse purchase, ask at the Returns counter where you bought it.

Check the 30-day window for online orders

Costco’s published online policy covers eligible non-resale purchases that drop in price within 30 days of purchase. For a dated promotion, submit while the promotion is running and within that purchase window.

Quantity limits and exclusions apply, and Costco can deny a request. Ask your purchase warehouse about its terms for warehouse purchases.

Get your purchase details ready

Match the item number, size or model, and purchase channel before comparing prices.

  1. Find your order or receipt, purchase date and original price.
  2. Check the later offer’s item number, dates and conditions.
  3. Follow Costco’s request instructions for where you bought it.
  4. Keep your confirmation and check the result with Costco.

Watch the dates on holiday deals

Costco’s 2026 Holiday Savings event runs Oct. 30–Nov. 30, but individual offers start and end on different days. Some begin before Black Friday on Nov. 27.

Warehouses are closed on Thanksgiving, Nov. 26; that day’s offers are online only. Your online purchase still needs to meet the 30-day rule and the promotion’s conditions.

Know the exclusions

Costco does not match other retailers or warehouse prices against Costco.com orders. Precious metals are excluded. Read the official policy for special-order, installed-product and tire conditions.

A later sale gives you a reason to check, but Costco decides whether your purchase qualifies.

A lower number is only the beginning

Before opening a request, put the purchase and the new offer side by side. Check whether the new offer is an immediate reduction, a future Shop Card or a different bundle. Those can look similar in a promotion, but they are different benefits. A machine sold with extra accessories is not necessarily the same purchase as the machine on its own.

Work from the price actually paid for the eligible item, rather than subtracting a headline discount from an old list price. If the order already included that promotion, the advertised savings may already be reflected in your total. Review the order details before treating the difference as an additional adjustment.

Make the request easy to check

Keep the order number or receipt handy and use the exact item description when you contact Costco. If you bought several similar sizes, identify the particular line you are asking about. This avoids turning a simple price question into a search for the right product.

After submitting, retain the confirmation with your purchase details. A request is not a completed credit: follow up through Costco if you need the outcome. For an expensive installed product, a special order or a tire purchase, read the dedicated conditions before relying on the general online purchase window.
